Windows 8 has a new great desktop feature or also known as "Metro UI". It is quite a pain in the neck for someone coming to win 8 for the first time. I have seen the people giving mixed reviews about the new look.

If for some reason you dont like the new theme and want to use the Win 7 look, here is what you need to do....

Long long time ago NPU mailed me an ebook and deleted his sent mail list. Also he lost his copy and requested me to send it back to him. Now how do I dig through all those mails he sent me and find this book considering the problem that neither I nor him remembered the file name.

I type the following in the search bar inside Gmail and VOILA

from:NPU has:attachment filename:pdf

It shows me all the pdf files he has ever sent me. Searching this small number of mails will definitely simplify my job.

Make Your Old Firefox Extensions Work With Firefox 4

Method 1:

Install the Add-on Compatibility Reporter addon from

Then goto the extension manager or AIO sidebar > click the extension which you want to enable > click enable > restart firefox.

Sometimes you might need to restart firefox after installing the extension and before doing the above step.

Method 2:

1.Type about:config in address bar and press Enter.

2.Now Right-click anywhere, Select New>Boolean, name the new config value extensions.checkCompatibility (extensions.checkCompatibility.4.0 in-case of Firefox 4) and set it to false.

3.Make another new boolean value as above with name extensions.checkUpdateSecurity and set the value to false.

4.Restart Firefox.

How To?
Connect the Data Card with BSNL/MTNL SIM Card inserted to the system & install the software.
Let the System install the drivers for the Hardware.
After completition Restart the PC.

After Restart Close the application which modem installed if it is running, Go to the installed directory of the application which
usually looks like this "C:\Program Files\BSNL 3G Data Card\BSNL 3G\BSNL 3G.exe " and change it's file type from executable
to something like 'BSNL 3G.Backup'. (Note: It may be different in case of MTNL data card).

Go to Control Panel > Select Phone & Modems > Select the Required Modem (e.g. HSPA DataCard.) > Go to Properties of
that Modem > Select Advance TAB & insert Extra Initialization Command (AT+CGDCONT=1, "IP", "APN"). Press OK. (Replace
the "APN" with your new Sim Card Mobile Operator's APN). You can find more information on this below.

Now Select Network Connections in Control Panel.
Click on "Create new Network".
A wizard will start up. Click next.
Select "Connect to Internet". Click next.
Select "Set up my connection manually". Click next.
Select "Connect using a Dial-up Modem". Click next.
Select Your Modem. Click next.
ISP Name: (Any name could be written). Click next.
Phone Number: *99#. Click next.
Replace the "*99#" with your Mobile Operator Phone Number. You can find this information below.
Leave User Name, Password, and Confirm Password fields blank. Click next.
Click on "Add a shortcut to Desktop". Click on Finish.

Disconnect the data card and replace the BSNL/MTNL SIM Card with the mobile operator's SIM Card of which you entered
the APN before.

Connect the data card again and wait for the green light to glow.
Now you can connect to the internet by double clicking the shortcut of the new dial-up connection we made.

On the pop up window, enter the email address of the person you’d like to access your account (i.e. the email address primary master Gmail account) and click Next Step.

You’ll see a confirmation message. Click Send email to grant access to send confirmation and verification email.

The delegate (email address entered) will receive a verification email explaining that you’ve granted access to them.
After the delegate confirms this request, it may take up to 30 minutes for the verification process to be completed.

Tip: To see if the delegate (primary account) has confirmed access to your account, look at the Accounts tab in Settings.
Repeat the steps for all other Gmail accounts.

Once the setup completed, user can just login to the primary Google account, and then access all other Gmail accounts by clicking the down-arrow next to your email address in the upper-left corner, and select the delegate’s email address from the drop-down menu.

Note that any mail messages sent from main account on behalf of delegated account will have main account’s name listed in addition to the actual account name. For example, the sender will be shown as “Your Name (sent by Delegate)”. In addition, all contacts on the delegated accounts can be accessed by the delegate by clicking the Contacts link, including he To, Cc, or Bcc links in the mail compose window.
