Need info about Nokia c6 and where it is available online in India

Hi Gadget experts,

A friend wanted this phone - the Nokia c6. What is your opinion of this phone, are there better/cheaper alternatives?
Also if I want to order it online where should I do it? How much should be reasonable to pay for this phone

its a good phone, but really depends on what you need. It has some bugs, it is a bit slow, its not capacitive touch.
What is has on its side are a fairly good resistive touch screen, good full qwerty keyboard and a med res screen.

So what are you looking for in your phone ? whats your max budget ?

It is actually not for me. A friend wants this phone and wants me to buy it for her.

I am thinking maybe I can convince her to get a cheaper phone, I would like
it to be less than $200 if possible.

Also where is a good place to get it online? Is it possinble to get it in US and ship
it to India, will there be any customs issues?

well, its not a good idea to ship the phone to india as there may be custom issues and also, since its available in india,why do it in the first place?

I doubt a girl would like this phone, its main feature is the qwerty keyboard and i dont think she would like it.

Buying from ebay is always more expensive than locally, but then, lets first decide what her needs are. There are many good phones in the sub $200/Rs10k range.

I feel $250 is a bit too much phone for a college kid who is not a gadget person ;-)

college kid? My first phone was Rs4k, had to saved up for it for almost a year....

@ RD, if you want that Ill confirm the price and I can send it to you as we already ship the phone across India so if you want that I can ship the phone and will take 2 days until you get that.
It will be with full warranty given by the company and can be used to claim warranty in any Nokia Service center in India.
